Financial Institutions Expertise

Financial institutions is historically a core area of FBR's expertise. In 2011, we continued to be ranked the #1 book-running manager of all common stock offerings, including private placements, for U.S. financial services companies with a market capitalization of $1.5 billion or less.1 Our investment banking professionals cover regulated depositary institutions – banks, thrifts and savings and loan companies – along with specialty real estate investment trusts and specialty finance companies.

Our Financial Institutions Research team, which publishes specialized and overview reports in addition to its company-specific analyses, is one of the best in the business, distinguished both by the quality of its work and the breadth of coverage across industry sub-sectors. Additionally, our Washington Policy Analysis group plays an important role in anticipating and interpreting the impact of the Congress and the regulatory agencies on the financial institutions sector.
