Daniel W. Blood is Senior Managing Director and Group Head of Real Estate Investment Banking at FBR. Prior to this position, Mr. Blood was the head of our Corporate Advisory group where he had oversight of the origination and distribution of all fixed income securities either underwritten or through private offerings. Additionally, Mr. Blood focuses on extending the firm's overall capital markets business through his many existing client relationships.
Most recently, Mr. Blood served as Co-Head of Global Debt Capital Markets at Bear Stearns, having been with the firm for more than 18 years in numerous senior positions in investment banking and emerging markets. During his tenure he also served as Senior Managing Director of Strategic Finance in Investment Banking and Managing Director in Investment Grade Debt Markets and Emerging Debt Markets. For his last year at Bear Stearns, he led a team of 42 professionals focused on the origination of fixed-income products including debt origination, private placements, derivatives and emerging markets.
Mr. Blood is a graduate of Davidson College, and he holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
