Senior Managing Director & Group Head of Real Estate

Steve Goldberg is Senior Managing Director and Group Head of Real Estate Investment Banking.  He joined FBR in July 2002. Since joining the firm, Mr. Goldberg has been involved in numerous capital market transactions, with an emphasis on lodging and leisure. Transactions have included a private placement for Vintage Wine Trust and DiamondRock Hospitality, initial public offerings of Ashford Hospitality, Highland Hospitality, Thomas Properties, and BioMed Realty Trust, and equity offerings for Equity Inns and Boykin.

Mr. Goldberg has 15 years of broad-based experience in the origination and execution of public and private real estate capital market and advisory transactions, most recently as a senior investment banker at Lehman Brothers. In addition, Mr. Goldberg has held positions with CIBC World Markets, Oppenheimer, and MetLife.

Mr. Goldberg received a B.S. in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Connecticut in 1989.
